Main witness continues testimony in trial of three cops accused of murder
The main witness at the trial of three policemen accused of executing a suspect in Clarendon seven years ago, on Wednesday insisted that he was present during the incident.
He underwent intense cross examination by the defence at the so called “death squad” trial.
The witness insisted that Andrew Bisson was killed shortly after he was arrested along with eight men at a garage in Corn Piece in Hayes, Clarendon on September 5, 2011.
The Crown witness said he went to the garage to repair his vehicle when the cops conducted a raid at the property.
Defence attorneys brought the mechanic to court Wednesday morning to confront the witness.
They then informed the court that investigators from the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) visited the mechanic two weeks ago and he informed them that he was not at the garage during the police operation.
The witness insisted that the mechanic was present when Mr. Bisson was shot and denied that he was lying to the court.
Detective Corporal Kevin Adams, District Constable Howard Brown and Constable Carl Bucknor are on trial for the murder of Mr. Bisson.
The witness testified on Tuesday that several men were arrested during the operation.
The witness identified the three accused as the men who took Mr. Bisson into a house and shot him.
He also mistakenly identified Corporal Kevin Adams as Chucky Brown.
