WOMAN WHO COMMITTED CYBER FRAUD BAIL EXTENDED

A woman charged under the Cyber Crime Act for fleecing other women of thousands of dollars had her $500,000 bail extended when she appeared in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court on Wednesday.

Shantel Ledgister, 26, of Black River, who is facing two counts of fraudulent conversation, was slapped with six additional counts of obtaining money by means of false pretense.

The new charges were laid against Miss Ledgister following further investigation which revealed that she reportedly fleeced one of her complainants of $3 million.

She is to return to court on October 4.
