My Two Wives Have Made Life Unbearable For Me, I Want Them Out Of My
A man, Ajayi Monrufu has appealed to the Idi Ape Grade C Customary Court, Ibadan North East, Oyo State to dissolve his 26-year-old- marriage to his first wife, Suliyat Monrufu and 9-year-old marriage to his second wife, Kudirat Monrufu.
Monrufu in his suits claimed that his two wives were troublesome and that they fought each other as well as his family members. He added that they had not given him rest of mind.
The plaintiff told the court he was no more interested staying married to them.
According to Monrufu, Suliyat who has four children for him is troublesome as he fights his family member and has left the house with his second wife.
“My Lord, I am tired of my union to my wives. My first wife is troublesome and has not given me rest. She fights me and every other person in my family. She fights her rival, that is my second wife non stop. I have reported her to her family members but she has refused to desist from turning my house upside down.
“My second wife is not better. She was always at loggerheads with my first wife until she moved out of the house in 2007.
“My lord, I married her purposely because my first wife was troublesome but immediately she came in, she started misbehaving and joined her rival in causing trouble in the house.
“ They fight, using dangerous weapons and she had left my house since 2017.”
Monrufu told the court that he was no more interest in the marriages because both wives had not given him rest of mind.
He, therefore, prayed the court to dissolve his union with them.
Having listened to the plainiff’s evidence and considering the fact that the defendants failed to come to court despite being served court summons and hearing, the court president, Moses Oyekanmi dissolved their union
