My Wife And Her Lover Confessed They Had Sex On Regular Basis; Attempted To Poison Me —Husband
‘After I caught my wife red-handed having sex with her lover, she confessed to me they had sex on a regular basis. Her lover also didn’t deny it. Rather than turn a new leaf, she attempted to poison me.’
‘He has strings of girlfriends and has packs of condoms in his wardrobe. He feels threatened seeing me with other men.’
These were some of the evidence given by a couple, Adewale Adekojo and Morayo Adekojo, at Oja Oba/ Mapo Court C Customary Court, Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Adewale had approached the court seeking that it aborted his 12-year-old union with his wife, Morayo. Adewale in his divorce suit alleged that his wife was promiscuous and attempted to terminate his life by poisoning him.
The plaintiff also appealed to the court, if her prayer was answered, to grant him custody of their three children whom the defendant had failed to give adequate care.
He further prayed the court to restrain her from coming to disturb, harass or fight him at his home or work place.
The defendant refused to admit to claim. According to her, they both love each other and he was his first love.
Adewale stated that:”My lord, I’m fed up with my wife’s indecent lifestyle and therefore seek for a total separation from her before she infects me with STDs and terminates my life.
“Stories of her escapades had often been drummed into my ears but I chose not to believe these and the other evidence I had as proof. I decided to wait till I caught her red-handed.
“I forgot an official document at home and had to rush back home to take it. On getting home, there on the bed were my wife and lover making love. Her lover escaped and she appealed to me not expose or disgrace her.
“She confessed to me they have been having sex on a regular basis. She apologised and promised to put an end to the illicit relationship between both and I forgave her.
“My lord, to my surprise, her lover, rather than go into hiding started calling me on phone, threatening to deal with me.
“I made a report at the police station and he was arrested. There, he confessed to dating and sleeping with my wife. He was sued and arraigned in court.
“My lord, again to my chagrin, my wife rather than change got worse. She still went on dating this particular man and even went on to add new lovers to her list.
“I have evidence of the money transfer each of her lovers made to her after sleeping with her.

“The height of it all is that she attempted to poison me. I would have been a dead man by now if she had been successful with her plot.
“My lord, I’m still young and I don’t want her to waste my life by infecting me with STDs. I, therefore, pray the court to separate us and handover our children to me because she has failed to be a good example to them.
“I also pray the court to restrain her from coming to disturb, harass or fight me in my house or workplace, “the plaintiff stated.
“I don’t admit to divorce, “Morayo stated when the claims were read to her.
“We both love each other and he’s my first love.
“My lord, I should be the one accusing him of infidelity. My husband has chain of girlfriends and keeps packs of condoms in his wardrobe.
“He apologised to me when I confronted him with my discoveries and promised to stop but didn’t.
“I got a job as food vendor at IBDC after a decade of being a housewife and he started making life hellish for me.
“The money transfer he made mentioned of were payments made to me after rendering catering service to my customers at special events. He saw these because I always let him have free access to my phone since I have nothing to hide.
“The man he accused me of sleeping with was one of my customers. There was never a time he caught me sleeping with him. He insisted I leave the company I was working with and I did in order that peace might reign. I got two other offers but he refused that I accepted them.
“He went further to poison his family members’ minds against me and denied me access to our children.
“My lord, despite these wrongs, I still insist I’m not divorcing him, “Morayo stated.
The court president, Chief Ademola Odunade, after listening to the evidence of both parties stated that the court would like to see their children before judgment was given.
Ruling, Odunade adjourned the case till April 4, and asked both parties to return to court with their children on the adjourned date.
