Police in Kisumu is investigating an incident in which a man was nabbed for allegedly ‘harvesting’ sperms from street children.
The man, whose identity has since been concealed by officers, was allegedly luring children in exchange for cash at Kondele Estate.
The perpetrator was arrested at the main bus terminus by the public after one of the victims identified and took him to the Bus Park Police Station for booking.
A witness said the man confessed having harvested sperms due to pressure to have a baby.
He claimed he had been married for years, the wife couldn’t sire a child despite seeking services from doctors.
“The man told us he has tried all the means to get a baby, but could not and that is why he resorted to getting sperms from another person to help him impregnate his wife,” said the witness, adding that the victim was promised Sh200, but he never paid and hence his arrest after being apprehended by the victim at the main bus terminus.
Area OCPD, Christopher Mshimba said the suspect would be transferred to Kondele Police Station for more investigations.

“It is true that a man is being held with such allegations but we cannot confirm the offenses now because we did not get him with the said exhibits. The police only acted on an alarm raised by the public and we will do our part to investigate before he can be taken to court,” said Mshimba.
The case is yet to be filed Kisumu Law Courts.
