Your Attitude Can Keep You In Bondage
“But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, ‘Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’”
2 Kings 5:11
Many of the times, our mental and emotional attitudes are some of the tools by which the devil deceives and holds us in bondage. When Prophet Elisha commanded Naaman to go and wash seven times in the Jordan for his leprous affliction to get healed, he put up a bad attitude because he had a set mind on how Elisha should attend and minister to him. And because he was not treated exactly the way he expected, he turned and went away in a rage. (2 kings 2:12.)
Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him
with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
(Psalm 106:43)
You limit God when you dictate how you want him to deliver you, the areas of your life he must not delve into and many other no-go areas you want to be left untouched. You need to repent of such mindset that brings fury and rage! That mentality makes it easier for the devil that had held you in bondage all these years to stay put in your life. For as long as you limit God to how you want him to deliver you, you defer your hour of deliverance.
