YOUR LIFTING WILL COME
But God remembered Noah and all the animals in the boat. He sent a wind to blow across the waters, and the floods began to disappear. Genesis 8:1
Sometimes, the place where God instructs you to go for refuge might become uncomfortable and unbearable. But God is the all-powerful, all-knowing creator of Heaven and Earth. God knows when you should move and when you should stand still. Noah must have felt like his years of righteous living were finally being rewarded when God told him to build an ark and shelter in it with his family and a selected number of creatures while the rains fell for forty days and drowned the earth and everything in it. He must have been bothered a bit by the fact that he had to live with all these animals in the same ship but the rain that flooded everywhere outside the ark made being in the ark a miracle.
On the fortieth day the rains stopped and he was probably looking forward to getting out into the real world he was familiar with and living a normal Godly life without the sinners who drew the wrath of God. But, months went by and he was still trapped in the ark with the animals. Can you imagine what it would feel like living in your house with goats, pigs, birds, dogs and other creatures? The house will smell terribly because of their waste and their lifestyle will be too wild for you to cope with. Noah had to endure this for 150 days (5 months)!
You might be in the same situation that Noah was in right now. You might be going through difficult times in a place where God asked you to be and you are wondering when your lifting will come. But just as God remembered Noah, He will remember you this month. When the pool dried up, God sent Elijah to the widow of zeraphath to sustain him during the famine. Do not despair, do not give up. God will remember you and show you the way out of your current trials in the mighty name of Jesus!
