A 16 year-old boy, charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, and shooting with intent, was on Monday remanded when he appeared in the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court.
He is to return to court on June 20.
The teenager, who is from Retrieve, St. James, is said to be a member of the Ratty gang.
He was arrested and charged on January 28 following a gun battle between members of the security forces and armed men in Kilmarnock.
One man was killed and a uzi sub-machine gun along with two magazines containing 32 rounds seized.
