23 YO PLEADS GUILTY TO LOTTERY SCAMMING

A man pleaded guilty to Knowingly Possessing Identity Information, when he appeared before the St Elizabeth Circuit Court on Monday.

He is 23-year-old Shaun Grant, labourer of Spring district, Siloah in St Elizabeth.

Grant was reportedly held on July 7, 2014 during an operation carried out by the St Elizabeth Proactive Investigations Unit (PIU) along with other police personnel.

Reports are that about 4:30 am, the team executed a search at a premises where Grant was seen. During the search, lottery-scamming paraphernalia were found in his possession. He was subsequently taken into custody.

Grant is scheduled to reappear in court on Wednesday, August 26 for sentencing.
