A shipment of three bags packed with more than 250 pounds of cocaine was seized by law enforcement officials at the Kingston Container Terminal (KCT) Tuesday.
A release from the Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) Thursday said that the drug has an estimated street value exceeding J$247 million or US$2,850,000.
The matter is currently being investigated by the Border Protection Unit of the Jamaica Customs Agency and the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Transnational Crimes and Narcotics Division.
No arrest has been made in connection with the seizure.
