26YO CHARGED WITH COMPUTER FRAUD

A 26 year-old female who fleeced several other women out of thousands of dollars using the computer was offered bail in the sum of $500,000 when she appeared before the St. Elizabeth Parish court on Thursday.

Shantel Ledgister of Black River is charged with Fraudulent Conversion and using the computer to commit a crime under the Cyber Crimes Act.

Ms. Ledgister is remanded until July 26.

The court heard that Miss Ledgister who uses the alias O.J. Everbless and Dra Campbell created a fake account on Facebook where she pretended to be a man.

She then used the account to befriend unsuspecting females whom she conned out of thousands of dollars.
