Supporters of the outgoing North East St Elizabeth MP Raymond Pryce Friday afternoon took their protest to the town of Santa Cruz demanding that the People’s National Party (PNP) allows him to stay as their representative.
The PNP has rejected Pryce’s application to contest the next general election after one term in office.

Businessman Evon Redman is now tipped to replace him.
The decision has infuriated some of Pryce’s supporters.
A week after roadblocks in Balaclava, Pryce’s supporters descended on the town of Santa Cruz with placards in support of their MP.
However, the police who were early on the scene said the protesters could not march on the town without a permit.
The police, however, said they would allow the protesters at one location.
