The Savannah-la-Mar Criminal investigation Branch is investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a teenager in Masemure, Westmoreland on Saturday.
The deceased is 17 year old Crystal Gunnings of Darling street in the parish.
It is reported that about 10:00 p.m., the teen was travelling on a motor vehicle with two male companions when they were pounced upon by gunmen on a motorbike.
The men opened fire, hitting Crystal several times. She was pronounced dead at hospital.
