The attorney for George Flowers, the HIV-infected s*x offender who was extradited to Canada, last week, is accusing the Jamaican government of extraditing his client illegally.
Mr. Flowers, a Jamaican born Canadian, who was wanted for eleven counts of s*xual assault, was extradited last Thursday following a three year battle with the local authorities.
His attorney, Don Foote, went to court on Thursday to complain that his client had been extradited while having a matter pending before the Supreme Court.
Mr. Foote claimed he was not notified by the authorities about the extradition.
He said he will be pursuing the matter before the Supreme Court.
Mr. Flowers is now awaiting trial.
Canadian prosecutors say Flowers had unprotected s*x with more than a dozen women he met at bars without disclosing his HIV status.
