PRISONER KILLED WHILE TRYING TO ESCAPE

An inmate of the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre was shot dead when he tried to escape custody while on a medical visit to the National Chest Hospital in St. Andrew on Thursday afternoon.

RJR News has learnt that the inmate was Kevin Anthony Fletcher.

According to reports, Fletcher who was convicted for murder, was taken to the Chest Hospital by prison wardens for treatment.

He escaped and was chased by the wardens who opened gunfire at him.

He fell into the gully that runs along the Chest Hospital.

Fletcher was removed from the gully and pronounced dead by doctors at the facility.

The Department of Correctional Services said the police and INDECOM are investigating the matter.

What is there to investigate, he got away a chase happen and they shot at him, the prisoner didn’t shoot back or pop a shot towards them so it’s no self defense, he must of been fast and they couldn’t keep up so they shot at him to stop him, but end up killing him instead… So what would the investigation show different..
