Irvin ‘Carrot’ Jarrett, one of the legends of Jamaica’s modern music, has died.
Jarrett, a former member of the widely acclaimed band, Third World, was reportedly found unresponsive at his home Tuesday morning.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Jarrett, who was 69 years old, played on some of Third World’s hit singles including 96 Degrees in the Shade and Now That We Found Love.
In recent years, he had been host of the programme Living Well, aired Friday mornings on RJR 94FM.
