Saturday midmorning at about 1am and 2am six year old boy by the name of Leroy Mayne a.ka BOY BOY was drowned in a pit in his neighbor yard in Gulf Gordon Pen Spanish Town, Reports are that Leroy mother and father were seen in the early hours on the road with him and his seven year old brother as usual crying that they are tired and want to sleep, both the parents were drunk and got into an argument over money, that’s when Leroy wondered off by himself and fell into the pit moments after neighbors heard the father crying and screaming for “Boy Boy that dem can’t find him” the calling continued for Hours until daylight a search was carried out by members of the community and the the lifeless body of Leroy was discovered at around 10:30 in the pit which was filled with water because of the heavy rainfall. Residents said Leroy was a very polite and quiet little boy who did not give trouble and was loved by the whole community, but his life was cut short because of negligence by both parents especially the mother who was a rum addict, it is said that the children were often seen on the road by them self in the late night while the father who is a mason was at work and the mother who was always drunk and leave the child unattended.
