ALL YOUR EGGS IN GOD’S BASKET
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
These days, people now print stickers that say “all eggs in God’s basket”. Faith is putting all your eggs in God’s basket and counting your blessings even before they hatch. When all your eggs are in God’s basket, you don’t have to worry about the basket and what happens if the eggs break. God never does anything wrong. The safest place to put your eggs is in God’s basket and not in plans you have made or good ideas you read in the papers or heard in the news. Faith in God is the only security and guarantee we need in life. Faith sees through the darkest night and hopes against hope. Thus faith should be what inspires and motivates you to take certain actions and not what people say or think. Human intelligence might suggest a good direction to take in the pursuit of your dreams but it is faith that will keep you going on because it is faith that releases the miraculous and the divine influence you need to pursue and achieve your dreams in life. We live in a time when things are happening very fast and man seems to be unable to keep up with the way things change; faith in God is the only anchor you need to go through the ups and downs, rise and falls and uncertainties of life.
Putting your eggs in God’s basket means surrendering everything about your life to Him; you cannot trust God in some areas and be in control in other areas. It’s like begging God to give you the finances you need to grow your business and build a house so that you can get married and settle down to raise your own family. Then when business is growing and you have built the house you prayed for, you now step out on your own to find and marry a wife. That is like saying God was good enough to give you the breakthrough you need but He is not good enough to help you find a good wife. You cannot afford to play games with God. These are dangerous times and the enemy is on rampage. Just as God is blessing people beyond their wildest imagination, the devil is also destroying people in very incredible ways. You cannot ask for a blessing and not depend on God for instructions on what to do with the blessing. You cannot ask for the fruit of the womb without dedicating the children you are blessed with to God. You must consciously make sure that all your eggs, in all aspects of your life, are in God’s basket.
