AMERICANS FOUND WITH GUNS AT SANGSTER AIRPORT

Two Americans have been arrested and charged after they were reportedly found with guns and ammunition at Sangster International Airport on Sunday.

A statement from the police said members of the Border Security Branch seized two firearms and 24 assorted rounds of ammunition.

Those arrested are 35 year old disc jockey Robert Alexander Reid and 30 year old Ngozika Faith Chidoro, both of Altamonte Spring in Florida.

About 2:40 p.m., Mr. Reid and Miss Chidoro arrived at the airport on an American Airlines flight.

During a routine check of their luggage, a Sig Sauer pistol with two magazines containing sixteen rounds of ammunition and a Smith and Wesson 9 millimetre pistol with two magazines containing eight rounds of ammunition were allegedly found.

The Americans were arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition as well as importing firearms and ammunition without a licence.

Both were offered station bail in the sum of $100,000.

They are scheduled to appear before the Western Regional Gun Court on Wednesday.

    1. Maybe a TSA employee facilitate the two individuals to bypass security checkpoint. Maybe, as American Citizens, they did not expect to be searched, like the white tourist that they wave through without searching their luggage, while digging up Jamaicans, even those with US Citizenship.
