A decomposed body, believed to be that of a woman, was found on the compound of the Parry Town Primary School in Ocho Rios, St. Ann Friday morning.

Richard Hylton, Deputy Superintendent of Police in charge of crime in St. Ann, told RJR News that the cause of death has not yet been ascertained.

“At this time we’re not seeing any signs of violence, but based on the state of composition, we’ll have to await a post mortem,” he disclosed.

Ian Bell, Councillor for the Beecher Town Division, sayid he repeatedly made representation to the Ministry of Education for increased security at Parry Town Primary.

He said he requested that a perimeter fence be erected and a watchman employed.

The school is located in an informal settlement.

Mr. Bell has now renewed his call for increased security at the school.
