A District Constable attached to the Marine Police is now hospitalised with bullet wounds after he was attacked by gunmen in Dallas Castle, St Andrew Thursday evening.
Shortly after six o’clock, the policeman was driving home along the Plantain Walk main road when his vehicle came under a hail of bullets. The Constable was shot in the chest and arm. He was rushed into emergency surgery last night.
The police have launched a hunt for a suspect who goes by the alias, “Shortman”, a member of the Cocoa Squad based in Dallas Castle. The suspect is said to be a relative of the District Constable.
