The Adelphi police are appealing to residents of Lima district in Adelphi, St James to assist them in their investigation into the death of 74-year-old Evelyn Blair a member of the community who was set ablaze on Thursday.
Reports are that about 6:00 am, Blair was walking along the road way in her community when a man came up to her and allegedly pour gasoline on her and set her on fire. The man then ran off.
She was taken to hospital where she died on Saturday, April 27, while being treated.
Anyone who may have information to assist in the investigation is being asked to contact the Adelphi police 876-912-1026, police 119 emergency number, Crime Stop at 311 or the nearest police station.
This is truly sad! What are we becoming when we attack or elderly and children? SMH.
