A fire which started at a garage at Caledonia Road in Cross Roads, St Andrew yesterday damaged 19 vehicles, some completely burnt out, and also gutted the living quarters of a caretaker assigned to Imperial Optical Jamaica. No details were available as to how the blaze started, but some of the cars were spared greater damage by being driven or pushed out of the compound. The blaze was fought by Jamaica Defence Force personnel who responded swiftly, as well as teams from the Jamaica Fire Brigade.
