The police have arrested a man in connection with quadruple shooting in downtown Kingston on Sunday.
The lawmen also reported that a Smith and Wesson pistol and four .40 cartridges were seized during the incident.
Reports are that about 3:45 pm, a group of people were sitting along Rum Lane in the area when a motorcycle allegedly drove up with two men aboard. The men opened gunfire at the group, hitting four people including a woman.
All four were taken to hospital where one man was treated and released and the others, including the injured suspect admitted in stable conditions.
The gunmen, according to the police, were intercepted on Tower Street shortly after the shooting but reportedly engaged the police in a shootout and made their escape.
Further investigations led the officers to Rosemary Lane, also in downtown Kingston, where one of the suspects was found with a gunshot wound.
The matter was reported to the Inspectorate of Constabulary (IOC) as well as the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
