Police in St Elizabeth seized J$1.26 million worth of ganja in Frenchman district in the parish yesterday.
The ganja weighed 180 pounds.
The police, in a news release Monday, said no one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
Reports are that about 1:30 pm, lawmen on an operation in the area searched a hut.
The police say four rectangular parcels, wrapped in black plastic, were found to contain compressed ganja, while a black plastic bag was found to contain uncompressed ganja.
Investigations are ongoing, the police say.
