  1. Funny ALL a di black doctor dem a deadd off. And di White one dem Survive. This is the Second Doctor from Africa along with the Black man that brought it over here. I know they are going to say the “experiment is not taking to the black folks” SmH. ppl are soo wicked and devious.

  2. I wud not say only white ppl getting cured cause a black nurse got cured d other day….. only americans get cured everybody else doomed

  3. White people wicked, your comment is stupid and unfounded. The Liberian man is partly responsible for his own death because he was not honest or forthcoming with officials. He lied on his airport questionnaire about his history of contact. He also later lied at the hospital and said that he had not come in contact with any sick people and he also lied about his symptoms. The hospital did not diagnose him with ebola until he was getting worse. I’m not saying they don’t play a part but the man was not forthcoming with information either. They tested him for other things. Had he been honest and forthcoming about his whereabouts and contact, they would have tested for ebola earlier. The hospital spent a few hundred thousand dollars trying to treat this man. So if they weren’t trying to save his life, why would they use up all these resources?
Amber Vinson (one of the nurses who has been cured) is a BLACK WOMAN. Also, if you check the statistics, there are over 2000 cases in West Africa and a little over half of those cases have been cured. Do I need to mention what race those people are from? Recovery depends on several factors.
It annoys me when people like yourself, before first doing some research into the cases to understand why some persons were cured and why some were not, lean to this white against black crap. Everything is about racism for some of you people. It’s always the white man this and the white man that.

    1. Who is to say that he lied on his questionnaire? A few days before he left he assisted and 7 month pregnant woman into a taxi

      1. Cont- if you help a pregnant woman inyo a taxi that needs to go to the hospital would the first thing you think is ebola? Would it not be pregnancy related? How coukd he check yes if he did not know she had ebola. From the beginning people have been trying to blame this man when in MY OPINION HE WAS ONLY BEING A GOOD SAMARITAN. And it is still puzzling how not one of his family members who were treating him and had no protective care when he was sent home the first time has not contracted this horrible disease, but 2 nurse who only had their necks exposed have contacted it.

        1. As I said before, he is partly to be blamed, not fully.
The bottom line is this, the man did not die because he was black or because doctors at the hospital were playing the race game. Ebola is contracted when you come in contact with bodily fluids of a person EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS. His family may have been in contact with him, it doesn’t mean that they came in contact with his bodily fluids. He started feeling symptoms one day and by the next he was in the hospital. Also, the nurses were not wearing hazmat suits until they found out he had ebola so of course they would be at risk of getting the disease since they were handling him and having direct contact with him and his bodily fluids.
And let me just state that yes, I know racism is real but I hate how my fellow blacks are always quick to talk about white man this and white man that. I personally believe that we are one of the most racist set of people because we are even racist against our own.

          1. Its the nurses who were wearing hazmat suits that contracted the disease.the first time he went to the hospital he went in with a fever of 100. Something (and im rounding) and sent home with a fever of 103. He was already experiencing symptoms. He was too weak to walk to the taxi so he had to be assisted. He told them where he came from in the beginning so its not like he was trying to hide anything.

    2. oK, yoU HAVE A POINT. bUT, THE FIRST doCTOR IN AfRICA diED TRYING TO STOP THE SPREAD OF THIS DISEASE. wHY WASN’T SHE SAVED?? thIS doCTOR ABOVE ALSO DIED AND IM SURE HE FOLLOWED ALL THE NECESSARY PROTOCALL. i AM ONLY SAYING THEY USED THEM AS THE TEST TUBE DUMMIES. tHE WHITE ONES CAME OVER AND WERE ALSO IN NORMAL POPULATION AND SURVIVED. eVEN THE FREAKING DOG SURIVIVED. i HOPE YOU ARE BLACK WITH THIS VIEW POINT BECAUSE IF YOU ARE WHITE i WOULD UNDERSTAND YOUR DISGUST WITH MY SPEECH.NEVER SAID IT WAS RACIAL BUT ALL THE DUCKS ARE IN A ROW HERE. THE DOG’S LIFE IS VALUED MORE THAN A BLACK DOCTOR’S I THINK EBOLA IS THE NEW ERADICATION FOR BLACK PPL WERE OUTNUMBERING THOSE FOLKS AND THEY ARE GETTING SCARED.

      1. What dog are you referring to my dear? If you are referring to Nina Pham’s dog, the dog never had ebola. It was quarantined because she was having contact with it. Your comment again is unfounded and irrational. Not because they are doctors and you believe that they are taking all the necessary precautions it means that they are. A slight mistake is all it takes. Again, if I am to go with your argument, how was the black nurse saved? How were the other hundreds of BLACK West Africans saved? You are not making sense. Again, survival is dependent on several different factors. Also, before you jump to this test dummy crap, you should research each individual case to see why they survived.

        1. continued
I mean, I’m trying to understand your logic here. If it is about being black, I just don’t understand why some people survive in West Africa and some don’t and those people are BLACK. I don’t understand either how a BLACK nurse survived in the US.
Do you get what I am trying to say now?
I realize that some persons are now trying to twist it from the race point to nationality and are saying that it is because Duncan and this doctor who just died are not Americans. That’s grasping at straws. Again, hundreds of BLACK West Africans have survived, hundreds have not. It’s almost like survival of the fittest but again, it all depends on the details of each individual case

      2. And maybe you don’t remember what you wrote so let me refresh your memory
Funny ALL a di black doctor dem a deadd off. And di White one dem Survive. This is the Second Doctor from Africa along with the Black man that brought it over here. I know they are going to say the “experiment is not taking to the black folks” SmH. ppl are soo wicked and devious.
What part of that does not imply that you think it has to do with race?

  4. Good Afternoon Met & Metters
I was reading the comments and the debate above is quite interesting. My take, both sides have factual points. Even though we would like to believe everyone in the US is treated equally where healthcare is provided this is not the case. To date race, money amongst other variables are factored and treatment administered accordingly. Saying that to say this, there is still a bearing that they did not go above and beyond for the men of color.

  5. This Doc arrived in USA Saturday “severely critcally ill”. They did say he was the sickest Ebola patient they had to treat. They weren’t even sure he could make the trip to USA because of ill he was.
If these Nebraska docs didnt do their best because he was black….time will tell. It will come out one day

  6. @ my2cent duncan did identify where he came from and the effects he had all point to ebola that alone was a red flag and they send him home i saw it on the news the white doc in ny lied saw it on the news he is now ebola free the nurses in texas 1 white and 1black how obvious would it be for the white to get cure and not the black nurse plus her family would get paid it would be cheaper to cure her the black doc that just die i don’t know much on his story i am not shook that he die i say he would just like how i knew duncan would i am not hook on white/black issue cause no one can hold me down but myself soon everyone will be ebola free because it will affects the entire world eventual ebola is a 30yrs disease remember aids now ppl can live very long with it
