The police have reported that four M-16 rifles and a cache of ammunition were found during an operation in the Ramble Hill area of Bogue, St James this morning.
Reports are that the security forces searched a premises about 11:35 am and found the four assault rifles, five magazines, one hundred and fifty 5.56 rounds of ammunition and four ballistic vests.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
Meanwhile, another man who was listed as a person of interest following the flare up of gang violence related to the illicit lottery scam in Westmoreland turned himself in last night accompanied by his attorney.
He is Tevin Tomlinson, otherwise called ‘Nandy’ of Sterling district, Grange Hill in the parish.
Police said he is to be questioned by detectives from The Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) in short order.
