JAMAICAN WANTED IN ENGLAND FOR ROBBERY TO BE EXTRADITED

A Jamaican wanted by UK authorities was ordered extradited when he appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court Thursday morning.

Dean Jerome James is wanted for aggravated robbery and assault.

He was captured on Wednesday in St. Elizabeth.

Mr. James waived his right to challenge his extradition.

It is alleged that on March 7, 2016, Mr. James and a friend held up a woman with knives in London. She was also beaten by the men.

Mr. James was later arrested after CCTV footage showed him as one the robbers.

He fled to Jamaica on May 24 last year while on bail.
