JAMAICAN WOMAN HELD IN BAHAMAS WITH DRUGS

Two foreign nationals, including a Jamaican, are due to appear in court later this week after they were arrested at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) over the weekend.

Police said that the two women, the other from Amsterdam, were arrested after members of the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on information, conducted a search of a suitcase where they uncovered just over three pounds of ecstasy pills

“The two women were subsequently arrested and taken into custody. Investigations are ongoing,” a police statement noted, adding that the two unidentified women were taken into custody late Friday.
