Three members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are in custody under investigation for alleged corruption in Westmoreland.
They were arrested on Saturday by investigators from MOCA (Major Organized Crime and Anci-Corruption Agency) during a sting operation.
This was confirmed by a senior official of MOCA on Saturday night.
It’s reported that the policemen demanded more than one million dollars from the family of a man who was held with an illegal firearm last week.
The cops reportedly demanded the money in order to drop the case.
The matter was reported to MOCA and the cops were nabbed when they went to collect the money.
