JLP ACTIVIST TREASURE’S VEHICLE PULLED FROM WATER

A Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) activist and another man are behind bars, following the seizure of a sub-machine gun in St. Thomas. They were held after a high speed chase.

It’s reported that, about 10:30 on Thursday morning, the political activist, who was driving a Toyota Prado, tried to elude the police who signaled him to stop.

He drove off and was chased by the police. The vehicle crashed into the sea in the vicinity of Grants Pen fishing beach. Both men were held and the vehicle pulled from the sea with the assistance of the Marine Police.

A search of the vehicle was carried out and the firearm and 16 rounds of ammunition were reportedly found in a bag. Up to late Thursday night, the St. Thomas Police were conducting another search of the vehicle.

  1. The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) activist name is Rameish (Remesh) Simpson, the man who was rescued from the police by the JLP Government Minister, James Robertson in January, 2009 when the police shot him and was about to move in for the kill. This guy has gotten off many murder charges, rape of a minor and many more criminal offenses, mainly due to the killing and/or intimidation of witnesses.

He will walk away from this one just as easily. He was caught along with his cousin, Richard Simpson. See picture of the men in the back of the police vehicle:
