The Jamaica Labour Party’s standard bearer, the CANDIDATE for NORTH EAST ST. CATHERINE does not want to own up to his child. He has disowned his child born to him in 2012 as a result of an extra marital relationship he shared with the Mother for several years. There is no dispute as to whether or not he is the father of the child. He shares no relationship or interaction with the child.
Consequently, a claim was filed by the Mother in the Supreme Court in July 2015 against the Candidate for sole care, control and maintenance of the child.
On December 16, 2015, the Supreme Court made an INTERIM ORDER for the Candidate, who is also an Attorney-at-Law, to pay child maintenance, half education, medical and dental for the child. The matter is set for trial in September 2016.
St Catherine NE constituency executive endorses Leslie Campbell
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) constituency executive for St Catherine North East, by unanimous decision, has endorsed the application of attorney-at-law and JLP deputy treasurer, Leslie Campbell, to be its next caretaker and candidate for the upcoming general election.
The constituency executive met Sunday to examine and deliberate on Campbell’s application, as well as Lennon Richards, who was also seeking to be the party’s representative for the constituency.
