A man is now before the court on allegations that he stabbed up woman because she refused his advances.

On Monday, Senior Corporate Area Magistrate Judith Pusey called him a dangerous man.

“They haven’t fallen in love yet and him stab her up,” Pusey said at one point.

The complainant told the court that she had only seen the accused man two times prior to the incident.

Courtney Cole, a 25- year-old resident of a Callaloo Mews address, off Spanish Town Road in St Andrew, is charged with wounding with intent. He however pleaded not guilty to the charge on Monday.

The complainant told the court Monday that on the day in question, the accused man pulled her earphone from her ears and started making advances at her.

“I told him that I don’t want him because I have a man,” the woman said. “He said he would cut mi in my face. I told him him affi owe mi dat. Him stab mi two time.”

The woman said she had been receiving threat from the accused man following the incident in June.

However, Cole’s attorney said during a bail application that the complainant’s statement is contradicting and that the woman was in a relationship with his client.

“This love thing is a serious thing,” Pusey said. “Thank God it doesn’t affect me.”

The scrap metal was offered $150,000 bail on conditions that he’s not to be within 100 feet of the complainant and report daily to Duhaney Park Police Station.
