Two men charged separately with having sex with minor, plead guilty
Two men, charged separately with having sexual intercourse with someone under the age of 16, on Monday pleaded guilty when they appeared in the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court.
They are Javion Shemar Weller and Patrick Simpson.
They are to be sentenced on December 18.
Mr. Weller admitted to having sex with a 14 year old girl in February this year, while Mr. Simpson was charged after the family of the minor reported to the police that he was engaged in sexual relations with her.
Mr. Simpson told the court that he was not aware of the child’s age at the time of the encounter.
Thirty-seven sexually related offences cases are to be tried in the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court which is slated to last four weeks.
