MOTHER OF NIGHT CLUB DANCER WHO DIED IN FIRE ASKS QUESTIONS

The mother of one of the three women that perished in a fire at a night club in St Mary is demanding answers about the circumstances surrounding her daughter’s death.

Three women, who were employed at Landmark Nightclub in Port Maria, St. Mary, died in the blaze which occurred on Thursday night.

Grace Hunter Hardy told RJR News that her 29 year old daughter Sharna-Kay Simms is among the victims and there are several questions which remain unanswered.

“Going at the station, they showed me a bag …. There were dancer costumes, why wasn’t the bag in the premises? I’m thinking that my daughter left the building in order for the bag to be outside.

Mrs Hardy has appealed for a thorough investigation into her daughter’s death.

Meanwhile, the St Mary police are renewing their call for information about the fire .

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the St Mary Division, Lorraine Elleston made the call following questions from Mrs. Hardy.

“I know that the matter is under ingestigation and any information that persons have out there, they could pass it onto our investigators .We also encourage the family memebrs (of Sharna-Kay Simms) to pass whatever information they have onto us,” Elleston said.
