PASTOR ON ABUSE CHARGES BAIL EXTENDED

Former Moravian Minister Rupert Clarke who is facing s*x-related charges had his bail extended when he appeared before the St Elizabeth Circuit Court yesterday.
Clarke is scheduled to return to court on November 23 when the prosecution will request that the case be transferred to Kingston.

The 65-year-old former pastor was taken into custody last December after he was allegedly seen in a comprising position with a 15 yearold girl in a car along the Austin Main Road in St. Elizabeth.

He was charged with having s*x with a person under 16 years old.

Following further investigations, additional charges were laid against Clarke regarding cases involving other members of the girl’s family.

In January, he was offered bail in the sum of $800,000.
