POLICE SEH AVOID SPANISH TOWN ROAD

Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and the fire department are currently working to clear debris from a section of Spanish Town Road in St Andrew, between the Denham Town Police Station and Darling Street.

The police say the roadway is now littered with debris that was used to during a protest earlier this afternoon.

Reports from the police are that the protest action was mounted following a shooting incident between members of the security forces and gunmen.

It is not immediately clear if anyone was injured.

In the meantime, police are advising motorists who intend to traverse that section of Spanish Town Road to find alternative routes.
