One person has been injured after chaos erupted outside Brixton Academy in London after fans allegedly tried to storm a concert by dancehall artiste Alkaline.
The gig was reportedly cancelled last minute before the artiste took the stage with organisers citing crowd safety.
There were no serious injuries or arrests but the Metropolitan Police were called to assist security in dealing with the disorderly crowd.
Witnesses have shared photos and videos on social media, with many suggesting groups of people were trying to force their way into the venue.
When he toured the UK last year, a number of Alkaline’s gigs were cancelled over security fears.
It is not yet clear if a new concert will be rescheduled for a future date.
