RETAINING THE HAND OF GOD OVER YOUR LIFE II
“And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord…” Numbers 11:1
Yesterday we looked at what I call “Thanks-living” as a way to retain the hand of God upon your life. Grumbling and murmuring short-circuits the hand of God. Therefore, believers who complain about everything cannot retain the hand of God. They cannot experience the supernatural power of God. For such people, even when the blessing comes, they will not recognize it. Why? They are always complaining. Every believer ought to show gratitude to God always.
Even the Bible goes on to say that a merry heart does good like medicine. You cannot be in an atmosphere of thanksgiving and be sad. No! It is not possible. Thanksgiving creates an atmosphere of expectancy, so when the miracle comes, you are already positioned to receive it. I challenge you today to make what I call “thanks-living” a lifestyle. Every day of your life, lift up your voice and say thank you Jesus. Thank Him for your life; thank Him for your health. Thank Him for every bone and every organ in your body. Thank Him for your house; thank Him for everything. Thank Him always. Look around for something that will make you give thanks to God. Let it be a lifestyle.
Secondly be obedient to the word of God. If you want to retain the hand of God upon your life, then you must live everyday on the proceeding word of God. Not what He said to you yesterday, but what He is saying today. Your God is a speaking God. He does not just listen, He responds. He gives instructions. Mary the mother of Jesus said to the disciples at the wedding in Cana, “whatever He says to you, do it” (John 2:5). Why did she give that blanket instruction? It was because she knew a truth that we all need to know in order to retain the hand of God upon our lives; and that is: God is a speaking God. He speaks and expects to be obeyed. If He speaks to you today and you ignore His voice, why do you want Him to speak to you again tomorrow? Of course He will not.
Some instructions do not make sense from the human mind, but it makes faith. God is not telling you to do what He will not honour. If He has said it, He will do it, if He has spoken it, He will bring it to pass. So obey His word today and see His hand manifest in your life.

I receive the spirit of obedience to follow God and obey every instruction that’ll cause my lifting in Jesus name
Every instruction from God whether convenient or not I receive the grace to be able to obey and do it in Jesus name
