Clarendon Central Member of Parliament Mike Henry has called for the British Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, to be tried before her own court for the actions of Britain, which was one of the main colonial powers in the slave trade.
Henry, a minister of government, was contributing to a debate on a bill in the House of Representatives to absolve certain national heroes from criminal liability arising from their participation in the fight for freedom, equality and self-determination.
Charging that he would never cease to fight, for reparation, Henry expressed the view that the “Queen should be taken to her own court; she should be tried before her own court in a class action”.
He added: “I want that court to say that we are wrong in demanding that the greatest act of man’s inhumanity to man was the slave trades to apologise and (for Jamaica to be) compensated for the slave trade.”
Britain was one of the key players in the slave trade transporting thousands of Africans a year to the Americas in inhumane conditions, shackled and transported in overcrowded boats.
Well if the Queen was to get a fair trial then she most definitely would be FOUND GUILTY! !
Mike Henry is the closest thing we have to a Maverick like Senator John McCain!

I must say I agree. Jamaica should be compensated. Why not, she was indeed responsible too.
