WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump says he will “put a hold” on US funding to the World Health Organization, saying “they missed the call” on the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump made the announcement at a White House press briefing as deaths and infections across the country continued to rise.
Across the US., the death toll topped 12,000, with around 380,000 confirmed infections.
Some of the deadliest hot spots were Detroit, New Orleans and the New York metropolitan area, which includes parts of Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Trump is criticising the organisation, saying they “called it wrong” and saying they seem to be “very China-centric.”
He says, “They should have known and they probably did know.”
The WHO has praised China for its transparency on the virus, even though there is reason to believe that more people died of COVID-19 than the country’s official tally.
Throughout his presidency, Trump has voiced scepticism of many international organisations.
As much as I can’t stand a bone in his body, I think he might be right. I think there is lack of transparency to when the virus actually started and how many died from this horrible virus in China. I believe everything was being hidden in the beginning, China is famous for cover ups. I think if other country knew the seriousness it wouldn’t have reached this far. This virus is man made and there are a lot of questions that needs answering after the virus is controlled. Somebody needs to be held accountable for all the lives lost… I find it really sad as to how evil mankind is to each other even those that are educated… They say that money is the root of all evil but I think education needs to be added to the list (what you don’t know won’t hurt you). Why is man trying hard to destroy earth all in the name of making earth a better place…

Trump has a history of blaming everybody, but himself.
Although I cannot stand the sight of him and the sound of his voice he is right about one thing. WHO gave poor advice in the beginning and took forever to declare COVID19 a pandemic. Trump followed their advice, acted nonchalant and ended up looking incompetent. In true Trump fashion the blame game shouldn’t come as a surprise because Trump takes responsibility for nothing. Right now the way I despise China I’m not in favour of any organization that backs China WHO included so I can’t be mad with Dumb Dumb.
