The soldiers, who are to give evidence about seeing police personnel shooting unarmed civilians during the 2010 operation to apprehend Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke, will not being testifying today as previously scheduled.
This is according to OBSERVER ONLINE sources.
The soldiers, who are to give evidence from an undisclosed location, are expected to say that they witnessed at least eight policemen killing unarmed civilians during the operation that occurred in May 2010.
Instead, attorney Michael Williams of the advocacy group Tivoli Committee will begin calling his witnesses.
The enquiry, being held at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston, is looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of more than 70 people during the police/military operation.
