Residents of Standpipe, off Old Hope Road in St. Andrew, gathered outside the Office of the Police Commissioner Monday as they increase their call for justice, following last Monday night’s fatal shooting of a resident by the police.
The small group with placards in hand marched to the commissioner’s office to protest the killing of 26 year old Shae Williams.
The residents claimed Mr. Williams was shot despite denying that he had a gun. However, the police said Mr. Williams confronted them and he was shot.
They said an illegal firearm was taken from the scene.
