STUDENTS STAB EACH OTHER IN ST ANN

The police had to be called to Ferncourt High School in St. Ann on Thursday morning following a brawl at the institution in which two students were injured.

It is understood that sometime after 8 o’clock, several students were involved in an altercation which led to the stabbing of two boys.

They were taken to St. Ann’s Bay Hospital where a 14 year old boy was admitted with a punctured lung while another, who sustained wounds to his neck and leg, was treated and released.

Officers from the Moneague and Claremont police stations along with members of the Community Safety and Security branch were called to the school.

Officials from the Ministry of Education along with Lisa Hanna, Member of Parliament for the area, were also on hand to assist in restoring calm to the institution.
