Newport Mills, the agricultural arm of CB Group is moving into the production of turkeys.
The company believes there is a growing demand for turkey meat in Jamaica hence its decision.
New Port Mills has begun to distribute poults, which is the industry term for baby turkeys, to several Jamaican farmers.
It expects these locally raised turkeys to be on the market in the last quarter.
