TWO KILLED IN CLARENDON

Two men were shot and killed in Bucknor, Clarendon on Friday.

They have been identified as 21-year-old Aldane McCalla and 22-year-old Romario Evans both of Bucknor.

The police report that shortly after 10:15pm, Evans and MCalla were walking when they were approached by men who opened fire at them.

They ran, were chased and shot.

The injured men were pronounced dead at hospital.

Illegal firearm seized – 19 year old charged

A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with this morning’s seizure of an illegal firearm in Duhaney Park, St Andrew.

He has been identified as Jevaun Hibbert of Sherlock Crescent, Kingston 20.

It’s reported that about 2:20, the police were on mobile patrol on Sherlock Crescent when they observed a man standing in front of an apartment building with what appeared to be a firearm in his hand.

He reportedly fled to his apartment when he saw the police.

The man was chased and his room searched

A .357 Smith and Wesson magnum revolver with six rounds were reportedly found.

The man was arrested.

Meanwhile, 25-minutes later, the police seized a pistol with seven rounds of ammunition.

The police were on patrol on Loraine Avenue when several persons ran after seeing them.

The area was searched and the weapon found.
