UNIVERSITY STUDENT CHARGED WITH KIDNAPPING BUSINESSMAN

Police have charged a female university student alleged to be involved in the kidnapping of two businessmen in Manchester.

She’s 25-year-old Rosemarie Moore.

A statement from the police says she was charged in the presence of her attorney on Saturday.

She’s charged with kidnapping and conspiracy to kidnap.

Reports are that on Thursday, March 23, gunmen kidnapped two businessmen, tied them up and left them in a house before moving them to the bushes.

They contacted one of the businessmen’s wife and told her to withdraw one million dollars and to leave it at a particular location in the town.

Undercover police arrested the man who showed up to collect the ransom. He’s been remanded in custody.

The businessmen were later found at a house unharmed.
