WHA HAPPEN TO JEFF ? COLLYMORE STILL NO LAWYER

OMAR “Best” Collymore, who was was arrested for the alleged contract killing of his wife on Stanley Terrace in Red Hills, St Andrew, in January, now has until April 19 to retain a lawyer.

The 35-year-old, who previously told the court that he was in the process of accumulating funds to pay for his legal fees, was on Thursday given two weeks to settle his legal representation after he told the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court that a family member was seeking a lawyer for him.

Collymore and his two co-accused, Michael Adams and Dewayne Pink, are charged with murder in relation to the killing of 32-year-old Simone Campbell-Collymore and 36-year-old taxi operator Winston Watson.

According to the police, Campbell-Collymore was travelling in Watson’s taxi on January 2 when they were attacked by gunmen. Both were later pronounced dead after they were rushed to hospital.

Following the murders, Collymore was captured during an operation at a guest house in St Elizabeth in February, after a warrant was issued for his arrest two days earlier.

Prior to his capture in St Elizabeth, Collymore was taken into custody after he was held at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston attempting to leave the island. However, he was later released.

Attorney Earnest Davis is representing Adams, while C J Mitchell is representing Pink.

  1. A family member a help him out fi get a lawyer???? Suh a who a guh pay di lawyer cause nuh money nuh deh. If him money did up him woulda get a lawyer from when. Omar tek di rotting sentence and stop waste di court time. Him never know him did a guh get ketch.
