Is not until we have a big case weh blow up and deh pon front page a newspaper that everybody can come now and a talk bout di violence weh a gwaan weh dem woulda otherwise turn a blind eye to! After a while, u just not going hear ntn bout di violence against women that going on. Because it’s not “hot topic” to talk bout and pray for etc….till di time to rally around #StopViolenceAgainstWomen come again!
When we seh wi fighting for something and standing up for something it need to be all year round, not as the seasons change we drop it and pick it up again!
Jamaicans don’t love each other anymore..one time if a couple a fight the community stop them and talk some sense into them but now a day’s the young people them take out their phone and seh kill him kill him mek mi video it and put it on Facebook..
Nuh bout a month or two ago we read a similar story bout a man weh bun dung di ooman house. Di way tings a run yah now as a single ooman mi not even a look pon a man. Cause first ting tecking up a man is a job all of its own, then mi haffi guh sleep wid one yeye open. Meck I stay weh mi deh plot out mi life on mi own yaw.
I am just happy that lady escaped with her life and she don’t turn in a nedda statistic.
