WOMAN HELD IN AMMUNITION SEIZURE

Two men and a woman have been charged in connection with Wednesday’s gun and ammunition seizure on a coaster bus on Slipe Road, Kingston.

They have been charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

They are Claudius Johnson, 50, of Duquesnay Avenue, Kingston 10, Junior Barrett, 24, of Johns Lane, Kingston 4 and Tamara Campbell, 24, of Orange Street, Kingston.

It is reported that about 2:45 a.m., officers were on patrol on Slipe Road, Kingston 5 when they signalled Mr. Johnson, who was driving a Toyota Coaster bus with Mr. Barrett and Ms Campbell aboard, to stop.

He complied and the bus and the occupants were searched.

During the search, a Browning 9mm pistol was found in the possession of Mr. Campbell, loaded with twelve 9mm rounds of ammunition.
